Los Angeles Public Library
On Tuesday, I was adventurous and took the Metro to downtown LA. I didn't want to spend the money for parking. I was pretty impressed that I actually found my way around the few places I went. I didn't do a ton of research beforehand. I went to Pershing Square, a crepes place that I found on Apple Maps when trying to figure out where I was, and then to the Public Library. The library is huge and was my main destination. I just walked around it for about an hour. Eventually, I sat someplace, found a book about English royalty, and read so I had time to charge my phone. I was a little shocked at first at how many homeless people there were in the library, but when I thought about it, it made sense. One guy told me in the elevator that he found the meaning of life. The elevator was super cool. It was covered in old card catalogue cards.
