I've been wanting to go here for awhile. Flako rode his bike up here and we took our bikes to Griffith Park. Somewhere there is the Old LA Zoo. It was built in 1912 and closed in 1966. The website said it opened with 15 animals. I didn't count the cages, so I'm not sure if there were more than that or not. The bars aren't there anymore, but the enclosures and many cages are. There was just one sign about the history and nothing about what animals lived where. That would be cool to know.
We actually found the zoo quite quickly. It was easier to find than the internet (Yelp) made it seem. We explored for a bit and then went for more of a ride. Aside from the slight condescension about my not knowing how to work my bike, it was really fun. I don't like going up hills, but going down makes it worth it. Thank goodness that Flako knew how to get back to the car. I would probably still be riding around the park trying to find it.
Then there was this:
Do you see it?
Now?
