The DMV: Part 4: Officially a California Resident

I went BACK to the DMV today.  This time was my final time (as far as I know), at least for this trip.  I was crazy lucky again and found a parking spot right away.  My appointment wasn't until 4 but I got there about 3:30.  I figured the worst thing they could do was make me wait until 4.  I got in line and everything happened quite quickly.  I waited in line for about five minutes (ALWAYS MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!!!!), then waited for about five minutes to go to a window.  Even the window went quickly.  I turned in one of my South Dakota plates and got my California plates.  It's weird.  It definitely makes the move a little more final.  Most days, I still can't believe I live here.  Every day actually.  Now I'm registered to vote, have my California driver's license and license plates.  Unless anyone can tell me something I've forgotten to do, I'm officially a California resident.
